"Glorified be He Who carried His servant by night from the Inviolable Place of Worship to the Far Distant Place of Worship, the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, that We might show him of Our tokens! Lo! He is the Hearer, the Seer" (Quran 17:1). Selimiye Foundation organized a wonderful evening at Somerton to commemorate the Miraj and Isra of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Over 800 guests attended the program which began with recitation from the holy Quran by renown Sufi artist Mehmet Emin Ay. The program continued with poetry and a seminar. Muhsin Canpolat, a representative of Selimiye Foundation presented a short speech on the achievements of Selimiye. The evening concluded with music by the Australian Sufi Group.
